MoltSets vs GTM Heroes: $27 unlimited contact data, or the behavioral read
MoltSets and GTM Heroes attack different halves of the same outbound waste. MoltSets (moltsets.com) is Adam Robinson's unlimited contact data API: verified business and personal emails, carrier-checked mobiles, people and company search, flat rate from $27 a month, built to be called from Clay, Claude Code, or an MCP server instead of a dashboard. GTM Heroes is the only AI sales platform running per-human behavioral intelligence across all five stages of the AI sales execution spectrum. It reads how the human behind the inbox decides, forecasts the freeze before the deal goes quiet, and writes the rep's prep for that one person. MoltSets kills the dead-email tax. GTM Heroes kills the wrong-message tax. Most teams should run both, and this page has the receipts for why.
- MoltSets is contact data with an A to F risk grade on every email, sold unlimited for a flat $27 a month (Standard plan, moltsets.com/pricing, at time of writing). Everyone starts free with 1,000 API calls.
- GTM Heroes is not a data tool. It profiles each stakeholder with the 8-type Relationship Lens, forecasts the freeze, and generates per-person discovery questions, call outlines, decks, and negotiation prep.
- We ran 110 real GTM leaders through MoltSets and a leading per-credit contact-data platform on August 16, 2026. MoltSets found a reachable email for 102 of 110. The incumbent found a work email for 96. MoltSets rescued 10 of the incumbent's 14 blanks.
- The warts: 22 of MoltSets' 86 business emails were off the company domain and 6 graded D. A two-second domain check fixes the first. MoltSets' own grading caught the second.
- Cheap, unlimited, verified data in the hands of a spray-and-pray operator is faster spam. That is the exact moment the behavioral read matters. Use both.
What is MoltSets?
MoltSets is a B2B search and enrichment API for AI workflows. The homepage headline on moltsets.com is "The B2B Search & Enrichment API for AI Workflows," pitched as verified emails, mobile numbers, and LinkedIn data "right inside your AI stack from only $27/mo." There is no dashboard by design. You call it from Clay, Claude Code, n8n, a direct API, or the MoltSets MCP server. The site says emails run through a 20+ vendor validation waterfall and the database is refreshed every 7 days.
The part that matters is the risk grade. Per the MoltSets FAQ, every email comes back with a letter: A means "valid, known reply, open, or click," so send. D means "hard invalid, bounce, complaint, trap," so do not. B, C, and F sit in between. That is behavior-based validation, not a mailbox ping. Adam Robinson's claim, made in his MoltSets launch posts, is that Microsoft blocked SMTP-based validation in spring 2026, so ping-style verifiers now mislabel deliverable inboxes. His claim, not our finding. What we can say from our own run is that the grades held up.
MoltSets is Adam Robinson's fourth company after Retention.com and RB2B, built in public since spring 2026, self-funded, waitlist opened in waves. The June 4, 2026 RB2B newsletter covers the week he almost quit and then moved the offer from a few hundred agencies at $495 a month to "THOUSANDS or TENS OF THOUSANDS of people" on a flat unlimited plan. Salesforge's third-party review scores it 7.0 out of 10 and notes it is US data only for now, with no sequencer, CRM, or dialer. Not a knock. Molt Sets is a data layer for people who already own the rest of the stack.
What is GTM Heroes?
GTM Heroes is behavioral intelligence for the human still in the deal. The engine is HBX. It reads how one specific stakeholder decides using the 8-type Relationship Lens (Visionary, Finisher, Guardian, Specialist, Skeptic, and three more), forecasts the freeze before a deal goes quiet, and generates the rep's assets for that person: discovery questions, call outline, proposal, pitch deck, battlecard, case study, ROI calculator, negotiation prep. It works from a LinkedIn URL or CRM data, through the web app, a browser extension, or MCP inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, HubSpot, and Slack. It does not find, validate, or enrich emails. It assumes you already have a reachable human and tells you what will land.
MoltSets review: what 110 real contacts came back with
We did not want to write this page off Adam's posts. So on August 16, 2026 we took 110 real US GTM leaders from our own pipeline (Sales Ops, RevOps, Enablement, Demand Gen) and looked each up natively on MoltSets and on a leading per-credit contact-data platform. No waterfall, no phone enrichment, GTM Heroes' own free MoltSets account. Aggregates only.
How do MoltSets and the per-credit incumbent compare?
| Result (N = 110, run 2026-08-16) | MoltSets | Per-credit incumbent |
|---|---|---|
| Any reachable email found | 102 of 110 | 96 of 110 (work email) |
| No email at all | 8 | 14 |
| Rescued the other tool's blanks | 10 of the incumbent's 14 | Not measured |
| Business email found | 86 (64 on the company domain, 22 off-domain) | 96 |
| Personal email found | 91 | 0, natively |
| Business emails graded A (send) | 80 of 86 | No letter grade. 95 marked verified |
| Business emails graded D (do not send) | 6 of 86, all stale old-employer addresses MoltSets itself flagged | Not applicable |
| Validated within 30 days | 103, of which 87 the same day | Not exposed |
| Exact business-email agreement between the two | 63 of 110 | |
| Cost of the run | 109 tokens on the free 1,000-token plan | Roughly 110 per-credit lookups |
What the numbers say, warts included
Three things are true at once. First, MoltSets found more people: 102 reachable versus 96, and 10 of the 14 the incumbent came up empty on. On a round-one set of 30, it went 30 for 30 and rescued all 4 blanks. Second, the personal channel is real and the incumbent does not have it natively: 91 personal emails out of 110, a second door into sales leaders who change jobs and take their Gmail with them. Third, the grading did its job. 80 of 86 business emails came back A. The 6 D's were dead old-employer addresses, and MoltSets flagged them before we could send.
Now the honest flaw. 22 of the 86 business emails were off the company domain. Some were a previous employer, one in round one was a college .edu. Pipe MoltSets straight into a sequencer unread and a chunk of your outbound goes to addresses that are technically valid and commercially useless. The fix costs two seconds: trust a MoltSets business email only when its domain matches the company domain, and suppress anything graded D. Exact agreement between the two tools on the business email was 63 of 110, which tells you neither database is ground truth. The wiring we landed on is boring and it works: keep the per-credit incumbent for verified corporate email where you already pay for it, use MoltSets to rescue blanks and add a graded personal channel, and gate every send on the letter.
The cost line matters most. The 110-person run cost 109 MoltSets tokens on a free plan that ships with 1,000. The same run on the incumbent burned roughly 110 per-credit lookups. Unlimited changes behavior: you stop rationing and start checking everyone.
What does MoltSets cost?
MoltSets costs $27 a month for unlimited enrichment records on the Standard plan, at time of writing, per moltsets.com/pricing. Everyone starts free with 1,000 lifetime API calls and 10 mobile phone tokens. Professional is $97 a month and Enterprise is $997; the three unlimited plans differ by rate limit (5,000, 75,000, and 900,000 requests per 5 hours) and included phone tokens (10, 50, 250). Mobile lookups draw external tokens at $0.20 to $0.50 each, charged only when a number comes back. No refunds, cancel any time. So the honest answer to "MoltSets pricing" is $27 unlimited for email and search, with phones metered on top.
GTM Heroes has a free tier and paid plans from $20 to $70 per user per month (gtmheroes.ai/pricing), no credit card to start. The two do not compete on price because they do not compete. One is a data bill. The other is what you do with the humans the data finds.
Where the behavioral read starts and the data stops
A verified inbox is a permission slip, not a plan. MoltSets tells you the address is real and you will not bounce. It says nothing about whether that human is a Skeptic who deletes anything with an adjective in it, a Guardian who needs the risk section before the vision, or a Finisher who replies in four words and expects the next step ready. That is not a gap in MoltSets. It is a different job.
It is also the moment cheap unlimited data gets dangerous. When every lookup cost a credit, the credit was a speed bump that made a rep think about who deserved the message. At $27 unlimited, the bump is gone. A spray-and-pray shop with a MoltSets key and a sequencer is a faster spam machine, and the reply rate does not rise because the addresses got better. It falls, because the same templated line now lands in more real inboxes. The wrong-message tax is bigger than the dead-email tax. It just never shows up as a bounce report.
GTM Heroes is built for that second tax. Hand it the LinkedIn URL that came back next to the A-graded email and it returns how this person decides and what your first line has to do. Same war on spray-and-pray as MoltSets. Different half of it.
Which one should you pick?
If you are paying per credit for contact data and rationing lookups, get MoltSets. The run above is the argument. If verified emails go out and nothing comes back, no data tool will fix that, and that is where GTM Heroes earns its place. At any real outbound volume, this is the one comparison where "use both" is the answer and not a hedge. They touch at one point, the LinkedIn URL, and overlap nowhere else.
Choose MoltSets if...
- You are rationing per-credit lookups and want to check everyone instead of the shortlist
- Your outbound runs through Clay, Claude Code, n8n, or an MCP server and you do not want another dashboard
- You want a graded personal-email channel next to the business one, for buyers who change jobs faster than databases update
Choose GTM Heroes if...
- Your emails are landing and your reply rate is still flat
- You sell to buying committees where the Guardian and the Visionary need opposite first lines
- You want to start free and prove the behavioral read on real deals before paying anything
Keep your data stack. Paste one LinkedIn URL from your next MoltSets pull into GTM Heroes and read the person before you write the line.

Is MoltSets a GTM Heroes competitor?
No. MoltSets is a contact data API that finds and grades emails and mobile numbers. GTM Heroes reads how a specific stakeholder decides and generates the rep's prep for that person. We use MoltSets ourselves and recommend running both.
How much does MoltSets cost?
MoltSets costs $27 a month for the unlimited Standard plan at time of writing, per moltsets.com/pricing, with a free tier of 1,000 lifetime API calls. Professional is $97 a month and Enterprise is $997 a month, differing by rate limit and included phone tokens. Mobile lookups draw extra tokens at $0.20 to $0.50 each. There are no refunds.
Is MoltSets data accurate?
In our August 16, 2026 run of 110 real GTM leaders, MoltSets returned a reachable email for 102, and 80 of its 86 business emails graded A. The caveat: 22 of those 86 were off the company domain and 6 graded D, so check the domain and suppress D's before you send.
What does the MoltSets A to F risk grade mean?
Per the MoltSets FAQ, A means the email is valid with a known reply, open, or click, so send it. D means hard invalid, bounce, complaint, or spam trap, so do not. B, C, and F are in-between grades left to your judgment. It is behavior-based validation rather than an SMTP ping.
Does MoltSets replace my current contact data platform?
Not entirely, based on our run. MoltSets found more people and added a personal channel, but the two tools agreed on the exact business email for only 63 of 110 and 22 MoltSets business emails were off-domain. We keep the per-credit incumbent for verified corporate email, use MoltSets to rescue blanks and add graded personal emails, and gate sends on the grade.
Does GTM Heroes find or verify emails?
No. GTM Heroes works from a LinkedIn URL or CRM data and returns a behavioral read plus the prep for that person. Pair it with MoltSets or whatever data tool you already run for the address.
Can I use GTM Heroes and MoltSets together?
Yes, and that is the setup we recommend. Both run as MCP servers, so inside Claude you can pull a graded contact from MoltSets and hand the LinkedIn URL to GTM Heroes in the same session.
